Jean Lumb Awards & City of Kingston Committees
Chinese version below
Hello friends,
November is here, and we have two pieces of good news to share: a celebration of outstanding young Chinese Canadians, and a chance for you to help shape life in Kingston.
The 2026 Jean Lumb Awards: Congratulations to This Year's Recipients!
The Jean Lumb Awards recognize outstanding Chinese Canadian students from across the country. This year's ceremony, the 29th annual Jean Lumb Awards, took place on November 1st.
We're especially proud to share that one of this year's recipients is a student at Queen's University, right here in Kingston! Congratulations to all of this year's recipients. You make our whole Chinese community proud.
Watch the full recording below, and check out this year's results on the Jean Lumb Foundation website.

Thinking of applying next year? If you're a student, or know one who's making a difference in school, the arts, sports or the community, we encourage you to apply! Keep an eye on the Jean Lumb Foundation website for next year's application deadline.
City of Kingston Committees Are Recruiting
The City of Kingston is looking for residents to join its committees and boards for the new Council term. They advise City Council on local issues, from housing and heritage to accessibility, equity and the library. The City welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, and our community's voice matters.
Kingston residents and business owners aged 18+ can apply, and some committees have youth positions for ages 15 to 24. Permanent residency is not required for City-led committees.

Thank you for being part of our community.
