Happy October
Hello members and friends,
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving is this Monday, October 12th. Whether you're having a turkey dinner with family or heading out to see the fall colours with friends, we hope you have a warm and relaxing long weekend.
Thanksgiving is also a good time to thank all of you. To every volunteer, member, partner and friend: thank you. Because of you, CCAKD has served this community for almost fifty years.
Vote in Kingston's Municipal Election on October 26
Kingston's municipal election is on Monday, October 26. We'll be choosing our mayor, city councillors and school board trustees. Their decisions on transit, housing, parks, community services and property taxes affect all of us every day, so please vote.

Who can vote?
Canadian citizens aged 18 or older who live in Kingston (or qualify as a non-resident elector) and aren't prohibited by law from voting. Post-secondary students living in Kingston may also be eligible.
Quick tips:
- Look out for your Voter Information Letter in the mail in early October. It shows where to vote and gives you a registration number for online voting.
- If you vote in person, bring ID showing your name and Kingston address. You don't need the letter to vote in person.
- Questions? Contact the Elections Office at City Hall (216 Ontario St., Mon–Fri 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., 613-546-0000).
